Farmington Bay Sunset
In a completely uncharacteristic move, this photo is completely untouched except for the signature. This is just the way things looked, so amazing that there was no need to do anything. I did not even try to straighten and crop the photo. I have never seen a sunset as intense as this was. LYLE

River Reflections
I took this the first time was in Mi. this year. I forgot the name of the river it runs through Dewitt where Leigh lives. The sign says the people would come to this river to be baptized, it looks a little cool for that right now. This is a 3 shot HDR I adjusted it in Levels a little is all I did tto it.

Red House Reflection
This is the Buffalo Ranch House at Farmington Bay. Judi and I went there this evening to enjoy being together and watch the sun set. Shot photos of lots of birds but didn't keep even one of them. But this came out really nice, I like the peaceful feeling that it gives. NOT HDR, hmmm, am I losing it? LYLE

Arial Splash
This is the result of the fountains shooting spouts of water up into the air and lighting them up with colored lights from below. I noticed they formed these splashes and was able to capture them. Lots of fun. LYLE
Light Trails
This is a small tree at the shopping center that was decorated with white lights like a Christmas tree. I set the camera in shutter priority and dialed in a 5 second exposure time. It took a couple of tries but as the camera was taking the picture I zoomed in on the base of the tree. My friend Philippe, who was shooting with me, has challenged me to duplicate it. He does not think I can do it. A dinner for two is on the line. I can't wait to cash in on it. LYLE
Goose 'n Goggles
This little bronze sculpture was part of the fountain at that same shopping center. I shot 4 different photos of it using a small flashlight to light it up. I then used exposure fusion to combine them and get the effects I wanted with Photomatix. LYLE

Farmington Falls
This waterfall is in a fountain at a shopping center in Farmington, UT. Some friends went with us to eat at Johnnie Rockets and we took our cameras to shoot the fountain. There are colored lights all over it that light up the sprays of water that shoot up. I shot this in shutter priority, f/5.6, ISO 800, 100mm, for 1 sec. I have not processed the photo at all, just the way it came out of the camera. LYLE

Snow!
This is something I don't see very often this was on the ground when I got to Leighs. If you look you can see the ice sparkling on the snow that has formed as it is melting and refreezing. Brrrr, it was COLD!!! ISO 800 f14 1/1000 70mm

Red Head
I was out shooting with Leighs D90 W' 70-3OOIS lens and heard a Woodpecker,it took me awhile to find it. When I was going through my photos I spotted that it went in the hole (bottom photo) that is above the bird in the top photo. I had to crop both photos and adjust the exposure because I was bracketing my shots. top photo 1/400 f10 bottom photo 1/640 f10 both manual exposure hand held at 300mm Bruce
Blue Spruce Pine Cones
