This is a Monkey Pod tree, at least that is what the locals called them. I just loved the way they hung out over the ocean and became a silhouette at sunset. Judi and Connie had to wait while Richard and I shot throughout the sunset. They were patient with us and both really like the photos we captured. LYLE

Sunset on Maui
This sunset is on the island of Maui. Judi and I were there just a few weeks ago. I saw some photos printed on aluminum in a couple galleries in Lahaina as we were there to eat. I had seen the location earlier in the day and knew I wanted to try to get back there to shoot them. I just had to wait until sunset. LYLE

Austin Skyline
I finely made it down town, Joan came for a visit and wanted to see town town Austin so I grabbed m camera the first day with good weather even though it was cloudy. this shot was off of a trail along Lady Bird Lake. There wasn't very much color I did convert it to B&W and then ajusted it to leave a little color you can see it on the 1st building an the left.Removing all the color made it too flat.

Grape Splash over Black Rawhide
In this shot, like the next one, I dropped some grapes in the glass to create a splash. I set the camera at f/22, WB 7500K, ISO 100, 2 sec, and manual mode. I dropped the grapes and triggered the flash while Judi squeezed the shot off. All this on our dining room table, but trying to contain the mess in a cookie sheet. That was a lot of fun. LYLE
The Grapes of Splash
This is a goblet that I bought from a second hand store for $1.00, I have sure had fun with it. I filled it about 3/4 full of water and dropped a small cluster of grapes into it. Just as the grapes made the splash I triggered the flash to stop the splash. Other light came from a flashlight that I got free from Harbor Freight Tools. LYLE

Seniors Class Projects
These photos were taken during a class that I teach at the Taylorsville Senior Center. I have 8 students, all seniors (60 years old or older). We have a great time and even shoot some fun stuff. LYLE
Willow Pond Panorama
I just got a new (old) lens and this is the first time trying it. It is a Nikon 28mm PC manual lens. It is like a Lens Baby except it only shifts. It is to provide perspective correction so all lines are straight and true. It works great for pano's as you can see. There was no warping in the stitch at all. This is 3 shots and brightened up a bit in On1. LYLE
