Mountain Side Watercolor

I was looking at some older exposures and decided to try and save this one, the tree in the foreground was a good exposure but the mountain was way under exposed. I made a 3 exposure HDR then in Layers adjusted exposure, curves, selective colors, photofilters (cyan35%), Posturize (Level 14) Vibrance (Vibrance-37 saturation +77) then went to photoscape and made it a Watercolor. Profile of a Tree

I took this shot about a year ago but never liked it. I couldn't bring myself to delete the images so I just decided to process them. I used Photomatix 4.02 (Thanks Tom) then opened it in CS4 and put a dark edge on it. After that I opened it in Photoscape and put a vignette on it and used the reflection filter. Back to CS4 to give it a ripple effect in the 'water' and a blue hue with the rectangular marquee tool. I cropped it to get rid of most of the dark edge but that allowed me to enhance the 'shore line'. After all of that I was finally willing to share it. LYLE

Waterfall Antiqued and framed

I finely figured out how to change this photo edited in photoscape to a Jpeg so I could post it. I used antique 2 and 7 and then Film effect Velvia on high then added 2 boarders to look like it was matted and a frame. The first time I shared this with you was in September labeled Utah Waterfall it is a 3 exposure HDR. Bruce

The Nativity

This nativity stands beside the tabernacle on Temple Square. I shot it at noon today and processed it with Photomatix, Photoscape and Photo shop but did not modify the colors in the area of the figures. I wanted to make the rest of it dark so it would look like I shot it at night. I used the rectangular marquee tool to select the inner area then feathered it and selected the inverse. After all that I turned the saturation and contrast down to darken it then added a vignette in black to it. LYLE

Two Stained Glass Windows

This is yet another look at the Washington National Cathedral in DC. It is a 5 shot HDR and until I learned how to make the settings for this series of photos I just didn't like any of them. I also opened this one in Photoscape and added a vignette filter to darken the corners which helps to focus the eye on the column cap. I really like the way the light colors the columns and window jambs. LYLE

Olde Photo

I have had this old photo laying around for a long time getting scuffed up and tattered. I finally decided to use it just so it wouldn't get completly destroyed. It is a 5 shot HDR, tonemapped in Photomatix and then 'antiqued' in Photoscape. I am enjoying this new program. LYLE
