The Water Wheel at the Olde Grist Mill

This is the water wheel that ran the equipment in the grist mill. It is a 5 shot HDR. I like the way even the water can be seen running down the wheel. Since it was running when I took the photos I had to wait until the wheel stopped (due to it being out of balance), that way the spokes would all be in the same place in each shot.  LYLE

The Olde Grist Mill

This old mill is now a very nice restaurant and a great place to take engagement photos and is used that way a lot.  Ann had a photo shoot there and I backed her up.  I took the opportunity to take a few shots for myself while there.  This is a 5 shot HDR.  LYLE

Lilly pad

I found this at the waters edge and didn't have to get in the water, it was too cold and windy to get in the water. The white spots all over the photo are reflections off the water if this was a photo from a negative I would think it was dust on the negatives. 1/90sec f10 Bruce

A Tiny Home

This little house in Walden, CO really brought some unique feelings to my heart as I looked at it. I thought as I stood there, a dad and mom lived here, they tried to make it nice, they raised their children here who played in the yard. I could feel their presence as I looked at it and felt to rejoice that they have moved on to a better home.  LYLE

The Shed

I just had to post this because it reminds me of a wonderful bathroom I once took a shower in. A rare single shot captured at f/8, ISO 800, 1/250 shutter, 24mm with the 18-135.

Jackson County Courthouse

This gorgeous little courthouse is located in Walden, CO. It was built in 1909 and apears to be haunted, I even caught the ghosts watching me photograph the building. I love the way the clouds seem to be parting directly over the top of it. I did take out some communication antenae that were sitting on the roof but for that I didn't do too much to it. It is a 5 shot HDR. LYLE

Antler's Inn Lobby

This beautiful room is the lobby of the hotel where we stayed in Walden, CO this past weekend. It is the Antler's Inn. We spent much time there enjoying the ambience. We had several of our children there one weekend and had a ball. This is a 5 shot HDR image.  LYLE

Just Listening

This fellow was laying in the grass and seemed to be just listening to the music being played by the clarinet player in the background. I couldn't hear it myself, but he seemed to be mesmerized by it.  LYLE

On a Clear Night

I shot this nebulae with my 70-300 lens and a doubler, came out pretty good. I really didn't think I would get much by just pointing my camera straight up in the middle of the night. (Actually I was in the North Visitors Center with my 18-135 lens)  LYLE

Spring is here

I am so excited spring is almost  here! I shot this 3 exposure HDR from the back of the flower because everybody allways shots the front including me, I like the results. ISO 200 F5.6  1/60  1/45  and 1/30 sec  135mm macro  Bruce

Finally

Judi has decided to call the hot rod 'Finally' because it took me so long to get it.  She wants me to put that on the license plate but I want to put IDAREU on it.  She thinks I get into enough trouble without a direct challenge to others.  This is a 5 shot HDR f/4.5, ISO 800, -.3 step, 27mm with the 18-135 lens and camera set on spot metering.  I hope you and your friends enjoy it.  LYLE

The Great Wall of Galavan

This retaining wall stands in the Galavan Plaza in downtown SLC. I had my tripod but chose to hand hold it on my knees while wearing a suit, it now needs to be cleaned.  It is a 5 shot HDR, you can see the issues in the trees up close.  LYLE

Twenty Two East

This buiding is located at 22 E 200 S, SLC, UT.  I have long admired it but because of all of the construction in the area it is really hard to get a good angle to shoot it from.  This is a 5 shot HDR with the 10-24 wide angle lens.  LYLE
