Water Tower

This water tower is on the Trolley Square Property. I got chased off by a security guard that felt a need to flex his muscle a bit, something about needing a permit to take photos on his property. I reminded him that no permission is needed to shoot from public access areas but he was a bit testy so I didn't push him. We had already shot over 100 photos before he saw us. Oh well. This is a 5 shot hand held photo processed in Photomatix 4.0. I really like the way Photomatix is able to align the elements of a handheld shot like this. The new B&W feature is also good. LYLE

Trolley Square Entry Drawing

This is actually an HDR that I did just a few modifications to using PhotoScape. Some of the features in PS are really fun. LYLE

A Skewed View

I posted this HDR photo a long time ago, it is one of the entries into Trolley Square Shopping Center. I used PhotoScape to give it this fractured view. I wasn't sure if I liked it much but it seemed to grow on me. I used the vignette #2 to darken the edge and then distort-illusion function set at 2 and then into Photoshop to darken it a bit with the levels tool. LYLE

Welcome to Trolley Square

This is an entrance to a shopping mall in SLC called Trolley Square. I was concerned when I went over there during my lunch hour that it would be filled with people. I guess the economy has taken its toll. This is a 5 shot HDR set at +1.7 EV and 1 full f stop in aperture priority.  LYLE
