Two Point Buck
This little buck was with about 8 does in a thicket of scrub oak in the south east part of the Salt Lake valley. Judi and I went for a ride just to get out and see a bit of the world and came across them. I finally got him out in the open. I did have to crop to get it to be close enough, the 70-300 was at the end of it's limits. I set it to f/4.5 and +1.3 EV in aperture mode.

It looks like you're getting the bug for wildlife photography. I like the way the head is turned so you can see the antlers and face. I would like to see the rest of the frame if it shows some or all of the does. It took me awhile to decide if the darker hair on his back was a shaddow of his head or not I think it is a shaddow. ReplyDeleteI have other shots of the does that I would be glad to put up. The dark area is a shadow. LYLE
