I wanted to experiment with taking a picture at night through the trees of the Salt Lake City Temple with the lights on on the temple. I had seen the view I wanted earlier in the day and went back at night to get the light I wanted. This is a 5 shot HDR (how else would I do it?). There was a concert on Temple Square so there were lots of people and I had to wait until I could get a clear shot. It was fun to try something new for me, I am sure others have done similar things, but this was a first for me. LYLE

Iron Gates
This Catholic Church stands in the Lower Garden District of New Orleans. It was built way back in the late 1700's and is one of three that are right across the street from each other. There was a competition to see who could build the tallest spire, this one won. All three of them are now owned by the Catholics but were initially different denominations. This is a HDR using my 10-24 wide angle lens. LYLE

Mississippi Bridge
I shot this bridge from the deck of the river boat that we did a dinner cruise on. I was having a hard time getting anything to come out due to the low light. I set the ISO at 1600 and f/as low as I could. It still wanted to delay the shutter a bit but I did get the shot without too much movement as I didn't have my tripod with me. We also met a wonderful young couple while on the boat (Russ and Karen from Houston) she graduated from A&M as a chemical engineer (he is also a chem E). We sure had fun with them despite the age difference. LYLE

Bucking Horse
My horses can raise their front end off the ground. How about yours? This is a 3 shot HDR about 2:00PM I used my polarizing filters ISO 500 f8 I didn't over expose enough to get rid of the hot spots. I had to clone stamp out a street lamp and post between its legs it looked like it was sitting on it, I shot other angles but liked this one the most. Bruce

Tulip in HDR
This is 4 of the 5 shots of an HDR set, one of the shots had too much movement and blurred the photo. I shot it with my 70-300 at high noon at f4.5. I did not change intensity or other settings. It was tonemapped in intense so the pink really came out red. The black in the background is actually the green of other plants stems and leaves. LYLE
Face to Face attempted save
You sent me quite a challenge, there is so much trash floating in the water I didn't spend much time trying to remove it. I did manage to improve on what you sent me. I started by making a duplicate layer with the bottom fish then adjusted exposure separately, then I flattened the image. I then experimented a little and made a threshold layer opicity 27%. Next a vibrance layer with vib. +20 and Sat +31 then added a blue photo filter layer 31%. Bruce
Turtle Mushroom Soup
I bet Judi could make it taste good if you think you would like to try it!
Actually I went to Steve's and this yard art was begging me to photograph it. Steve had rescued it from Lawrence's when Uncle Lawrence went to the nursing home.
3 shot HDR, f8 ISO 500, 44mm Vignetting in raw no other adjustments Bruce
